9/11 journalism
Every year you will find in journalism and the media. Specifically television. Even so many years on. Broadcasters will choose to re show and broadcast programmes relating to the 9/11 events.
To be perfectly honest with you current afairs and media journalism in 2009 is complete bullshit. Programmes are specifically put out to just to create more views and target that sleep watching demographic of non intelligent 30 something people.
There is a programme on channel 4 on sunday about unseen EXCLUSIVE footage from 9/11. This particularly angers me. In history there have of course been magor atrocities and problems. Only in the 21st century you see things liek this being re shown purely for commercial profit.
They have not shown re runs of Shindlers list every year or documentaries about Nazis and stuff on hilters death birthday? no.
I remember going to new york the week before. I remember standing in that building on the Friday.
And it still makes me emotional to the fact that some people can be so conceeded and lame to not put it to rest.
4 days before thousands of people died, I walked through that lobby with my family. Got in that lift. Went to the obersvation deck at the top. I still have my ticket.
I don’t feel pissed off or angry. Its just sad. I feel sorry for the people who benefit from this shit.
It just is rediculous. Stupid television. Stupid media. Hey guess what? FUCK YOU
